The Propositions Press is the private press of Dan S. Wang. He has been printing under its imprint since 1996.

Since 1998 the Press has been centered around a Vandercook SP-15 cylinder press. This machine was made at the Vandercook factory on Touhy Avenue in Chicago. The serial # is 21,016. The press was delivered to its first and only other owner in 1961.

The wood and metal type collection of the Press consists of nearly one hundred cases of type, fifteen galley trays and boxes of standing type, numerous wrapped fonts, and several boxes and cans of pied type. As well, the shop houses a number of cases and galleys filled with border material, ornaments, and dingbats. A full supply of spacing material, furniture, quoins, inks, paper and other equipment make the Propositions Press fully functional for handsetting small run letterpress projects.

The Press occasionally hosts residents, offering instruction and full use of the shop in exchange for service work.
